This project is a joint project of Hyundai Flowt and Lotte Chemical. It is located 50 miles southwest of Seoul, the capital of South Korea. The new plant will produce 750,000 tons of ethylene, 750,000 tons of polyethylene and 400,000 tons of propylene per year. These chemicals are widely used to make plastics and synthetic rubber, which in turn make auto parts and other industrial materials such as packaging and pipes. Actuators have been installed in the plant's crackers to control the flow of oil, the core feedstock for the production process. They operate ball, gate, globe and butterfly valves.

Customers have been impressed with other similar Flowt projects in South Korea, with over 500 A-range and IQ actuators in their existing plants. The stability and local service capabilities of these projects led them to choose Flowt for this important petrochemical plant. Customers also emphasize that choosing these actuators reduces cabling, installation and commissioning costs.

The Flowt Master provides a local hub for monitoring and controlling flow control assets. It is the control interface for the Pakscan network loop, capable of operating up to 240 actuators across three independent field networks. The actuators will be connected by Flowt's leading Pakscan™ network bus system and via a Flowt master station installed in the control room, operating two independent loops.
