Handheld flow meters are high-precision, contact-type measuring instruments, therefore, strict adherence to operating procedures and attention to relevant precautions are essential. Below are the main precautions for using handheld flow meters (taking ultrasonic flow meters as an example):

Precautions for Handheld Ultrasonic Flow Meters:

1. Avoid interference from air bubbles and impurities: Ultrasonic flow meters are sensitive to air bubbles. The presence of impurities or air bubbles in the heating network will directly affect the measurement results. Measurements should be taken in areas free of impurities and air bubbles; if this cannot be avoided, it is recommended to remove impurities and air bubbles before operation, otherwise data distortion will occur.

2. Pay attention to water turbidity compatibility: Ultrasonic measurements are easily affected by impurities. Liquid turbidity can be measured using the time-of-flight method, prioritizing areas with turbidity below 2000 as the target measurement. Different models of handheld ultrasonic flow meters have different applicable ranges for water turbidity; some instruments can operate in high-turbidity environments, requiring selection of appropriate equipment based on actual needs.

3. Emphasize equipment maintenance and storage: When selecting a flow meter, pay attention to battery quality and develop the habit of fully charging it after each use. When storing, avoid direct sunlight and ensure that the ambient air humidity meets the standard to ensure the performance and service life of the equipment.
