The ultrasonic flowmeter carries information about the velocity of the fluid as it travels through the flowing fluid. By receiving ultrasonic waves, the flow rate of the fluid can be detected and converted into flow rate. According to the detection method, it can be divided into different types of ultrasonic flowmeters such as propagation velocity difference method, Doppler method, beam offset method, noise method and correlation method. Ultrasonic flowmeter series products can be optional external clamp, insert, pipe segment and other sensors.
Compared with traditional flowmeters, ultrasonic flowmeters have the following characteristics: easy installation: external clamp installation, no need to cut the pipe. This is very different from traditional traffic devices. The user simply clips the flow sensor to the pipe surface. Then the ultrasonic flowmeter can detect the flow rate by ultrasonic, automatically calculate the flow rate value flow accumulator and so on. Not cutting the pipe means not damaging the pipe. Therefore, only if the pipe is in good condition, the installation on the flow meter will not provide the possibility of leakage. This advantage is more suitable for strong acids, strong alkalis, poisoning, corrosive liquids, etc. Traditional mechanical flowmeters must use moving parts to "sense" the flow, which disrupts the flow state. At the same time, with the use of moving parts, the flow accuracy will decrease, the moving parts will become bad, and the user must replace the new flow measurement device. Ultrasonic flowmeters have no moving parts and do not require contact with fluids, so there is no pressure loss. Ultrasonic flowmeter has the following characteristics: wide range ratio, low flow starting, low power design, portable measurement convenience and so on.
