The pipe-type ultrasonic flowmeter is a new type of flow measurement instrument that has been rapidly applied in recent years with technological development. When choosing the location of the device, we need to consider some factors to ensure the measurement accuracy. The selected pipes should avoid the influence of stirring and vortices on the measurement accuracy. Generally, the selected pipe sections should meet the following conditions:


1.When choosing the installation location, it should be kept away from strong magnetic fields and mechanical vibrations;


2. Select pipes that are uniform, fine and easy for ultrasonic transmission;


3. There should be a satisfactory length of straight pipe section. The straight pipe section upstream of the installation point should be greater than 10D (Note: D= diameter), and downstream should be greater than 5D;


4. There should be a distance of 30 meters upstream from the installation point to the water pump;


5. The fluid should fill the pipeline.
