What is a flowmeter? A flowmeter is an instrument that indicates the flow rate being measured and/or the total amount of fluid at a selected interval. A flowmeter is an instrument used to measure the flow rate of fluid in a pipe or open channel. There are many kinds of flowmeters, which are divided into differential pressure flowmeter, rotor flowmeter, throttling flowmeter, thin seam flowmeter, volumetric flowmeter, electromagnetic flowmeter, ultrasonic flowmeter, etc.
The calibration of flow indicator instrument in laboratory is very different from that of the same type instrument in the field. Pertinence is different from field inspection and calibration. The main purpose of field calibration is to find common faults and check the accuracy of key calibration results. As a result, the equipment used is relatively simple, calibration items are often incomplete, and the office environment is often biased. The control is standard, far from standard.
Among them, liquid flowmeter calibration methods mainly include volume method, mass method, standard volume tube method and standard flowmeter comparison method. The calibration methods of gas flowmeter mainly include sonic nozzle method, servo-type standard flowmeter comparison method and bell jar method.
Because of its advantages of no pressure loss, high precision and moderate price, the flowmeter is widely favored by companies in petrochemical, chemical and other fields, and plays a key role in the calibration of flow instruments. However, in actual use, due to poor operation, unreasonable equipment selection, and unreasonable installation, may cause problems, so many instrument personnel should pay attention to the various factors that cause the difference of flow meters. Avoid ferromagnetic objects and devices with strong magnetic fields as far as possible, so as not to affect the sensor's work field and flow data signal.
