Grounding measures for sensors

The flow signal generated by the sensor is very small, and only a few millivolts at full scale, so the sensor should be well grounded. Electromagnetic flowmeter grounding requirements have two aspects:

1. From the working principle of the electromagnetic flowmeter and the flow induction signal current loop analysis, the grounding terminal of the sensor and converter must be the same potential as the measured medium.

2. Ground, with the earth as zero potential, reduce external interference. Under normal circumstances, the process pipe is a metal pipe, itself is grounded, this requirement is easy to meet, but in the case of external electromagnetic field interference, electromagnetic flowmeter should be set up separately grounding device, The ground wire is multi-strand copper wire with a cross-section greater than 5mm². The ground wire of the sensor must not be connected to the common ground wire of the motor or other equipment to avoid the influence of leakage current. The ground resistance should be less than 10Ω.
