Flow (eg m³/h) is the most important variable in a hydraulic system. Without a known or calculated flow, any dimensioning of pipes, fittings, controls, etc. is not possible. The same applies to hygiene technology and heating technology.
Especially in the case of an imminent renovation (e.g. replacement of drinking or hot water pipes, water heaters, etc.), it is always necessary to calculate or determine the required (peak) flow rate for sizing.
It is advisable to compare calculated and assumed peak volume flows with flow measurements, especially in buildings with special purposes, such as (commercial, hotel and school buildings or sports facilities). This provides increased safety for planning hygiene and cost-optimized systems.

The Flowt Ultrasonic Clamp System enables accurate and economical determination of (peak) flow from the outside.
Here, the ultrasonic flowmeter is simply mounted on the pipe from the outside. It is not necessary to break the pipeline and thus interrupt the operation. This measurement method also means that there is no additional pressure loss.
The measurement does not cause any pressure loss.
Simple and safe sensor installation, accurate measurement results
Integrated data logger on USB stick, so hours or days of measurements are possible.
For pipe diameters from DN 15 to DN 400 (½...4")
For medium temperatures up to +170 °C
The heat is also determined if the flow and return temperatures of the heating pipes are also measured.
This measurement method is ideal for predetermining maximum flow rates, for example before refurbishment of drinking water or hot water systems. Therefore, undersizing or oversizing can be safely avoided, and a more cost-effective design can often be made.
Can be used on all pipes made of metal and plastic as well as composite pipes with or without lining. Ideally, the wall thickness should be known.

Experience has shown that measurements including disassembly and assembly of the sensor assembly and configuration of the Prosonic Flow 93T take 20 - 40 minutes, depending on the pipe size, so flow determination can be done very cheaply.
Important note:
Within a measurement range of approximately 0.5 - 1 m (depending on the size of the pipe), any existing insulation in the pipe must first be removed. For the most accurate measurement possible, a quiet section is required, especially in front and behind the measurement point.
