1. The size of the measurement range, the size of the object to be detected directly affects the maximum range of the ultrasonic sensor. The large component reflects most of the sound back to the ultrasonic sensor so that the sensor can detect the component at its farthest sensing interval. The small part reflects only a relatively small portion of the sound, which then results in a greatly reduced sensing range.

2. The object to be detected, the object detected by ultrasonic should be large, flat and high density, and perpendicular to the front of the converter. The most difficult objects to detect are those that are small and made of sound-absorbing material, such as foam rubber, or that are at an Angle to the converter. Some difficult-to-measure objects can be detected by having the sensor detect the background surface and then react to the exploration target object between the sensor and the scene. If the liquid level is stationary and perpendicular to the sensor surface, it is easy to detect the liquid. If the liquid level fluctuates too much, the response time of the sensor can be extended, and then the average value of the shaking change can be taken to obtain a more common reading. However, the ultrasonic level meter can not accurately detect the liquid with a foam appearance, because the foam will deviate the propagation direction of the sound. The reverse ultrasonic mode of the ultrasonic level meter can be used to measure irregularly shaped objects. In the reverse ultrasound form, the ultrasonic sensor detects a flat background, such as a wall. Anything that passes between the sensor and the wall blocks the sound waves. The sensor detects the interference to identify the object.

3. Vibration, whether the sensor itself or the vibration of the nearby machine, may affect the accuracy of the measurement. Rubber anti-vibration equipment can be used to reduce the occurrence of such problems when installing ultrasonic level gauges.

4. Attenuation, the sensor is also designed with the function of temperature compensation to adjust the slow change of ambient temperature. However, it cannot regulate temperature gradients or rapid changes in ambient temperature.

5. Mistest results, adjacent objects (such as rails or fixed rods) may reflect sound waves. Therefore, in order to accurately detect the target object, it is necessary to reduce or eliminate the influence of the adjacent sound reflection surface.
