When installing the external clamp ultrasonic flowmeter, a section of the pipeline that is always filled with liquid should be selected, such as a vertical upward flow pipeline or a horizontal flow pipeline. Make sure the pipe surface temperature at the measuring point is within the transducer temperature range.
External clamp type ultrasonic flowmeter installation precautions:
1. When installing the sensor, the pipeline area must be cleaned to expose the original luster of the metal;
2. The shielded wire of the ultrasonic signal cable can be suspended and not connected, and do not short circuit with the positive and negative poles (red and blue lines);
3. After the sensor is connected, it must be filled with sealant (coupling agent) to prevent water;
4. After the sensor is filled with sealant and covered, the sensor shielding wire must be drawn into the wire hole and screwed tightly to prevent water;
5. When binding the sensor, the fixture (stainless steel belt) should be fixed in the center of the sensor, so that the force is uniform and it is not easy to slide;
6. The contact part of the sensor and the pipeline should be coated with enough coupling agent around to prevent air, dust or rust from entering and affecting the ultrasonic signal transmission.
The external clamped ultrasonic flowmeter is simple to install, easy to use, almost free from the interference of various parameters of the measured medium, and can be used in petrochemical, water companies, thermal power plants, power plants, paper making, pharmaceutical and other industries.
